Why we do not just pressure wash the roof
High pressure aimed at asphalt shingles strips granules and can shorten the roof's life, which is the opposite of what a roof clean should do.

Moss is lifted and cleared without blasting the granules off the shingles underneath it. A roof clean should protect the roof, not wear through it.
Treated, not just cleared
Removing the moss you can see does not stop it coming back. A treatment goes down after to slow regrowth through the next wet season.

Moss and needles washed off the roof are the most common thing clogging a gutter. We check and clear them while the ladder is already up.

How much does roof cleaning cost?
It depends on the size of the roof, its pitch and how much moss has built up, so we quote each job rather than publishing a flat rate. Quotes are free.
Will this damage my shingles?
No. We use a shingle-safe method rather than blasting the roof with high pressure, which is what actually strips granules and shortens a roof's life.
How soon can you come out?
We are in the office Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call and we will tell you honestly what we can do and when, rather than booking you in and moving you later.
Are you insured?
Yes, Berg Maintenance is fully insured. Roof work means ladders and height, and you should never let an uninsured crew up on your roofline.
Will the moss just come back?
Moss regrowth is normal on a shaded, damp roof, which is why we apply a treatment after clearing it rather than just removing what is visible and leaving.
Do you take the debris away?
Yes. It gets bagged and loaded into the truck, and we check the gutters for washed-down moss and needles while we are already up there.
